Your homework is to really pay attention when an awkward moment happens. It could be a conversation stopper, it could be all inside yourself, you could be reading it on another persons face. Really get clear on what happened on your end, did you react from some inner dialog and spin the situation out yourself? if so what was the dialog and where in your life do you exert that sort of energy or have those feelings? Did someone else say something that hurt your feelings and did you shut them out for it instead of asking them what they really meant?
I'm finding that I really don't know another persons process at all unless I ask when there is any hurt or confusion, but what I have done in the past is assume and allow myself to spin out... all this instead of a simple conversation..
